Beirut – Realpeople Holland

So I just got my hands on the new Beirut album, March of the Zapotec and Realpeople Holland. They are two seperate albums with quite different styles, both of them awesome. But I am especially in love with a track from the second disc, called ‘No Dice’. Another good track is ‘My Night With The Prostitute From Marseille’, it has that sort of Joy Division/Patrick Wolf style vocals over some lucious electronic beats.

I would also recommend the first disc as it is also excellent.

Awesome Typographic Motion Graphics

Here is an awesome piece of motion graphics with a serious message to deliver. I came across this on the information aesthetics blog, which is generally about visualisations. You can see how this fits into that. Anyway, I would highly recommend it.

Waterproof coating!

Okay so you really need to see the video to understand this, but a company in San Francisco have created a completely waterproof coating, that can be applied to any device, without any electrical interference. It is very thin and clear also. The drawback I see is that you have to send your device to them to get it applied. But I would imagine it will start appearing on phones/ipods etc in the near future as standard. Anyway check it out with your own eyes…

Yeu woo bi (Yobi, the Five Tailed Fox) (2007)

Well this is another stunning animation from South Korea, this one revolves around a female five tailed fox who can transform herself into any shape at will. It is apparently inspired by a folk tale, but brought into modern times. It is very well animated, good story. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who likes the other things I have been writing about. Again I dont want to ruin the story, as that annoys me. Enjoy.

Pixophonics rises from the ashes…..to live again amongst the internet….this may stay as a blog, but I think it will turn into a gallery of stuff with a blog bit, plus my Zuku Podcast stuff. So this is just to say Hi! There will be some real content on here when I get it up.
